As a literature professional, learn, exchange expertise and experience, devise collaborations, and build international networks.
For more than a decade, British Council and National Centre for Writing from Norwich City of Literature have been working together to curate the International Literature Exchange (formerly International Literature Showcase).
The International Literature Exchange (ILX) is a multilateral international network that's intended to helps us all work better, together. Norwich City of Literature has now launched International Literature Exchange 2024-26 as a new programme, with a closed call out for delegates through their partnership with British Council, UNESCO City of Literature network and previous ILS Alumni.

ILX is a vibrant multilateral community designed to help us work better — together. Apply to take part in this year’s programme.
This year Norwich's National Centre of Writing is collaborating with UNESCO Cities of Literature in Bucheon, Jakarta, Lviv, and Odessa to bring together literary professionals for a unique opportunity to learn, share expertise, spark collaborations, and build international networks. This year’s ILX will convene up to 30 professionals working with books, words and literature, to explore the urgent challenges and emerging opportunities shaping the contemporary literary landscape.
They invite expressions of interest from all those who work in and with words, books, and literature.
