Independent Bookshop Week ran from 17 - 23rd June this year, encouraging booklovers to shop local.

Edinburgh's Independent Bookshops are a core component of our literary city, and with it recently being #IndieBookshopWeek we compiled a list of nine of the many jaunty, wonderful and hidden indie gems for you to visit, discover and browse. Whether you're looking for the latest bestseller, a beautiful tree calf binding or a zine by a local artist, you'll find an Edinburgh bookshop happy to oblige.

Argonaut Books: 15-17 Leith Walk, Edinburgh EH6 8LN, Adam Barclay's relatively young bookshop has recently moved online and has regular events in the bookshop.
