Edinburgh City of Literature is delighted to welcome Gerald Richards as our new Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Gerald is the Co-Founder and Director of B & G Partners, a consultancy that believes individuals and organisations flourish best by being creative, clear about their purpose and by telling a better story about what they do. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, as the Founding CEO of the Super Power Agency, and Chief Executive Officer of 826 National.
Gerald also serves on the boards of the National Theatre of Scotland, the Fagus Anstruther Memorial Trust, and has served on the boards of several other US organisations, including the Academy of American Poets, My Path US and Thousand Currents.
Gerald commented: “I am honoured to take on the role Chair of Edinburgh City of Literature at this exciting time in its history. The organisation has done so much for writing, writers and readers, and the literary arts community here in Edinburgh and beyond and I look forward to supporting Harriet, her team and my fellow trustees in making sure that amazing work continues for years to come.”
We would also like to take the opportunity to warmly thank our outgoing Chair, Ruth Plowden, for her hard work and dedication across two terms. The organisation has benefitted greatly from her passion and commitment to sharing literature across the city.
